He chose us before the world was formed (1:4, 11).
He chose us so that we would be holy and blameless (1:4).
Lovingly, He predestined us for adoption as His children (1:5).
He, as Father, purposely did this so that He could receive praise because of His grace (1:6).
He presented His grace generously and wisely through Jesus Christ (1:6, 8).
In Him we have redemption and the forgiveness of our sin (1:7).
He set forth His will through Christ so that He would eventually unite all things in Himself (1:9-10).
He works all things according to the counsel of His will to the praise of His glory (1:11-12).

He is now seated in the heavens far above all else and will be forever (1:21).
He has put all things under His feet and is head over all things in the church (1:22; 5:23).
He is rich in mercy (2:4).
He is great in His love (2:4).
He loved us though we were dead, disobedient, and deserving of wrath (2:1-3, 5).
Through Him we are made alive (2:5).
Through Him we are raised (2:6).
Through Him we have become benefactors of the immeasurable riches of His grace in kindness (2:7).
He has given us the gift of faith so that we could be saved entirely by His power and not our works (2:8-9).
He has prepared good works for us to walk in (2:10).

He has come and preached peace to those who were far off and near (2:17).
He is the Cornerstone upon which the church is built (2:20-22).
He is the origin of all living beings in heaven and on earth (3:14).
His love surpasses human knowledge (3:19).
He is able to do far more abundantly than all that we can ask or think (3:20).
He is over all, through all, and in all (4:6).
He has provided specific ministers to the church so that the body of Christ may be well-built (4:11-16).
He has designed the church so that when it functions properly, the result is love (4:16).
He calls those who hear of Him to put off the former life of sin and its deceitful desires and to pursue righteousness and holiness instead (4:21-24).
By His example, we can learn how to be kind, tenderhearted, loving and forgiving (4:32; 5:2).

His armor is able to stand against the schemes of the devil (6:11).
From Him, comes peace and love (6:23).
